We're a Beachfront Camp that doesn't cram our campers in. Large open grounds are surrounded by established leafy shade trees.

We are not 5 star resort style camping but Our Facilities are always clean and tidy. We're proud of Our History and Our Trip Advisor Reviews are testament to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere within the park.

Camping at Tirohanga is relaxed and friendly with an emphasis on the outdoors, not indoors!

With the Dunes section of the Motu Trails right in front of the camp you can either choose to relax or go for a safe walk, jog or cycle and explore the coastline. Opotiki Township where supplies and a good coffee are only a few minutes away. Alternatively for the necessities and fresh fish and chips the Tirohanga Beach Store is right next door!

We're also a Pet Friendly Camp all year round. To accommodate pets we have area designated for them and it has it's own beach access.

Camp Playground

We're right on the beach here at Tirohanga. The Dunes section of the Motu Trails cycleway runs right in front of the park and is a great way to explore the coastline. Either on foot or cycle.
